Her Majesty the Queen of Bhutan, Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck, the Patron of the Nuns, invited us to record for the first time in history inside the nunneries of Bhutan and to create this auspicious album of blessings and prayers, bringing holy chants and songs into the hearts of the listener. Though these songs come from an ancient tradition, the album blossoms into a world-beat setting due to the universality of their prayers, alongside the lush harmonies and arrangements of Raphael.
