Ik heb altijd van de kust gehouden, vooral van het gevoel van vrijheid en openheid van ruimte dat je daar ervaart. Ik denk dat het iets is dat velen van ons delen, vooral als je er, zoals ik, ver vandaan woont. Daarom besloot ik een verzameling stukken te schrijven die die ervaring proberen te vangen en weer te geven. Mijn doel met dit album was om muziek te creëren, gecombineerd met de geluiden van de kustlijn, die ons in gedachten meevoert naar die perfecte, ontspannende dag aan de kust, en onze dierbaarste herinneringen aan vroegere ervaringen doet herleven. I’ve always loved the coast, especially the sense of freedom and openness of space that you experience there. I think it’s something that many of us share, especially, if like me, you live far from it. So I decided to write a collection of pieces that try to capture and reflect that experience. My aim with this album was to create music, combined with the sounds of the shoreline, that will transport us away in our minds to that perfect, relaxing day at the coast, and revive our fondest memories of past experiences.
